I agree with both George and Dave: "snipping" appropriately can increase the effectiveness of the post dramatically. The way I do this is to simply [WIN 95] [shift+end] [pgdn] [pgdn] etc... which highlights the offending text then, [del]. I usually do that until the the screen "stops moving" which takes care of the tag-lines etc... FWIW, ANOTHER thing that gets my attention is when someone sends dupe messages, my messages from lists are filtered and so should one "reply to all" and I'm in that "all" of course I'll see two the same-that gets my attention in a positive manner no-less. Offending messages on my machine are either automatically deleted by filters, or I take care of them myself, only takes a second. I wonder how many [Paddlewise] communications happen off-list v/s onlist? Frankly most of my messages re: stuff on this list, are appropriate for anyone to read and so I most generally default to [reply to all] function then follow it up with a snip. To me frankly it's a hassle. OTOH, I'm willing to accept the list as it is until I'm asked :) At 12:04 PM 3/12/98 -0800, Dave Kruger wrote: >For me, the paring increases my likelihood of reading somebody's reply >on PW.
