Given the difference between racing and the kayaking most of us do, I doubt it. After all, I have yet to see anyone driving a Formula 1 car or Indy car on city streets to commute to and from work. Racing does produce lots of interesting stuff, but we muct be carefull to not assume that just because something is good in racing, it is good for everyone. The goal of racing is to win the race. Kayak camping/cruising is almost by definition, steping out of the 'race' alltogether. michael vdh_at_xtra.co.nz wrote: > > And after all this , one may expect to see the next olympic kayaking > teams arrive with rudderless, skinboats and wooden greenland paddles... > > Kia Ora > Eddie *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************Received on Sun Mar 29 1998 - 04:21:52 PST
