Thank you Michael.My first car was a 1931 Essex.My pride and joy but a
terrible thing to drive.Now I have a 1992 Ford Laser a 1.5 liter job
with wishbone suspension copied from some racing cars ??? My point was
that progress has made life easier and safer.Andy Knapp summed it up so
much better.But I have enjoyed and learned a few things from this
thread. Wonderful participation thanks all of you.

P.S. That 1931 Essex is of more value now than my 1992 Ford which drives
so much better....
