Bob:

I have never paddled Eddyline, but I have paddled the Nordkapp is all it's
variations. To me the Nordkapp is at it's best in confused seas. The
Nordkapp to me just begs to get up on edge and with good technique, carves
turns very gracefully for such a straight tracking boat. For some reason I
just feel more stable in rougher water with the Nordkapp.

You should contact Scott Williams at Sweetwater Kayaks (941) 346-1179 or
swkayaks_at_aol.com. He has a few Nordkapps in stock but better yet, he is
just about to have a *** Spring Sale with 20 - 25% Discounts *** off all
boats and possibly other merchandise as well. That is a huge discount! I
don't think he carries Eddyline, but I know he carries Valley Canoe
Products, Nigel Dennis Kayaks and Dagger. It would be worth a call.

Good luck!

Robert

The Nordkap with a skeg is a hard boat to turn but it tracks well. The
large cockpit is good a the originals had the typical English cockpit that
only an anorexic teen could get into without physical harm.

I liked the boat even though it may not be as quick as some more recent
designs.

You mentioned a skeg, Bob, but you didn't specify if this Nordkapp has
the HM hull with the integral skeg or if it's the HS hull with a
retractable skeg. They're both great boats, but they're very
different in the way they handle; the HM rides like it's on a cable
under the water --- straight ahead! Which makes it a bear to turn.
The HS, especially if you pull up the skeg, turns beautifully and will
still track well if you give it a little skeg. Paddled both boats
before buying my Pintail, the Nordkapp HS's cousin, which is even
better at turning and is a real playboat, but is low volume by
comparison. The larger cockpit (28" by 15.5" --- versus the
traditional "ocean" cockpit at 20" by 15") should be an advantage for
anyone beyond John Winters' "anorexic teen" paddler --- which I assume
you're not --- but, having said that, I still squeeze the nether
regions of my 185 pounds into the Pintail's "ocean" cockpit without
any lasting damage --- usually. No knowledge of the Falcon --- but
knowing which Nordkapp configuration you're looking at might help
others with knowledge of these boats.
