It's time for "sponson man". Actually I bought a set last year for just this reason, but with all the sponson noise going on in rbp at the time, I was afraid to admit it :-) How do you think 2 small drogues would work out as an alternative to sponsons, one deployed to each side of the cockpit? They will probably slow you down and keep you stern end to the wave, assuming you're back in the cockpit, but I don't know if they'd add any stability. Or then again, stern end to the wave would/might give you enough stability to get pumped out and covered. Where you would get little drouges? You might be able to tie a spare paddle at the blades and trail it 10-20 feet from the stern to accomplish the same purpose? Or tie spare clothes in a ball and let them trail behind. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************
