	A possible route is from Sanibel, thru the Caloosahatchee River, then the
Caloosahatchee canal connects to Lake Okeechobee to the east coast via the
Saint Lucie canal. Comes out around Stuart, and you can go north or south from
there. 
	It goes thru some neat areas. You could start in Fort Myers and save a few
miles, but Sanibel has some great paddling, spectacular beaches. Check out the
diner in Labelle for the best home cooked meals around, say hi to "shu" for
me.  Pretty trip, a few locks on the way for variety, decent fishin on the
lake.....

	Another neat trip I took years ago was from Jacksonville to Sanford on the
Saint Johns River. Used to be really pretty.....
