The 1997 Owner's Manual that comes with the roto Sealution provides that the yak can be stored on its side or its deck--but not on its hull. I keep mine upside down on carpeted 4x4 arms with the aft bulkhead over one arm. I have not seen any distortion. Other steps I take include removing all neoprene and plastic hatch covers and replacing them with nylon screen held on with parachute cord. Lastly, I put a light tan dacron cover over the hull to further reduce solar heating and limit UV damage. The only problem I encountered with storing them upside down is that the bungies wear very quickly in the middle of the deck because the hull joint is very abrasive. A little duct tape over the seam will prevent that.
