Thanks to everyone who answered my questions about wind and navigating on lakes. Just after I signed onto the list, there was a reference to a book called *Stretching* that I'll look for; however, does anyone know any exercises that I can do to strengthen my knees? When I took whitewater novice training, my one knee kept popping out of alignment or something. It didn't bother me at all going down the river but back on land I started limping slightly and the next day I was walking and all of a sudden my knee just gave out. It kept doing that for about a week and a half. I noticed when I started my flatwater trips that my knees do the same thing but not nearly as bad, I assume because I'm using them less. Years ago, for a calcium buildup on one knee, my doctor charged me $55 a minute to suggest that I put soup cans in a bag and do leg lifts. Would that help my problem now do you think? I started riding my bicycle hoping that that would do something. Thanks for any suggestions! Donna -- ************************ D.R. Ferron Photography D.R.
