Previously there was mention of 'PALM' PFD's as being
an excellent choice. I have looked at stolquist
and the female model (mens were not available so no
wise cracks) of the Kokatat. Dave Kruger mentioned
a while ago a PFD from a company that manufactures
product for SAR.

Can someone point me to that web Page for the SAR model
especially PALM? Is the PALM PFD that good?

There is an opinion by local(MEC-kayak) store personel that if
a PFD is Class III and has US-Coast Guard Approved
endorsement that Canadian Authorities will look the
otherway if it does not have Canadaian DOT approval.
Any opinion on this?

Thanks,

Philip

Sorry for a brief annoyed email, but I have to respond to that! When
women are forced to buy men's gear or ostensibly "unisex" gear that is
designed for men because there is no alternative, that is just taken for
granted.

See what it's like. You're not going to get wisecracks, it's just as
appropriate for you to look at women's gear as for us to be continually
forced to make do with things designed for men's height, build, etc.

Okay, I've vented, I won't stay mad about the double standard behind that
comment!

I have a Palm Storm ribbed 5 pocket PFD and love it. A bit pricy, retail
$180, but worth every penny.Hard to fined things to fill up all those pockets.
