Someone wrote about filing the voids in their cockpit with "Marine Foam".
Can anyone suggest any brand names? Assuming this is a spray-in foam
designed to withstand regular exposure to brine, it sounds like the perfect
stuff to fill the crannys of the bow and stern in my surf kayak, the ones I
can never quite fill with float bags.

That would have been me, Phil. It's a stock item in most boat store chains,
and it's designed to resist salt water. It <is> perfect for the applications
you suggest, but read the labels carefully. This stuff expands <a lot>! You
put it in your bow voids wrong, you might blow the bow right off! But, used
correctly and carefully, it's great for kayaking applications. A little
breakdown as time goes by, but it's worked for me so far.

Sorry I can't give you brand names --- didn't save the cans. West Marine had,
as I recall, about three different brands, and they all seemed about the same.
