They are not cheap but they sound like the best solution for preventing water from entering ears. I have to prevent getting water in one of my ears if at all possible and have tried solutions that are probably similar to the ones you have--without success. In a few weeks I am going for a set a molded plugs and will then see how they work. Bob >>> ************************************************************************** * I use cheap foam earplugs designed for noise protection. You compress them before inserting them, and they expand to fill the auditory canal. I have not had any noticeable problems with leakage. Don't wait for an accidental dump to practice a roll. It's almost impossible to learn to roll without spending a lot of time upside down. Kinda like a snorkle with a floating device to hold the tube out of the water. Now you can take as much time as you want in setting your roll up and be really cool :-). They also had a thru hull manual pump for pumping water with the skirt on. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************

I happened to see them mentioned in rbp today. They also claim to have inflatable hip pads which sound cool but I didn't see them on the site. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************
When I used that type they absorbed water and expanded out of my ear. I tried wax, and they also came out. Now I use the ones they sale at sport shops for swimming, and they work very well. - Julio > > I use cheap foam earplugs designed for noise protection.
