i have just updated the web page with all the details for this event.

http://www.diac.com/~zen/cpr/pleashlp.html

there is now a schedule of events, a map to the site, and other relevant info.
let's get out there and encourage more young paddlers, and help emily with her
project, that she's worked so hard to make a great event.

[note: emily, this is being copied to the Colorado Paddler's Resource
mailing list]

thanks to all,

mark

>>Note from Mark:
>>The Girl Scout's "Gold Award" is the equivalent to the Boy Scout's
>>"Eagle Scout Award", the highest you can earn. Emily has worked very
>>hard on this project, involving a demo from Rocky Mountain Search and Rescue
>>[I believe??], plus other exciting events for the girls that day. Please come
>>out and support our next generation of leaders!!

>>>	I'm Emily Bradley. We spoke at the Girl Scout canoe event on Wednesday,
>>>June 17. Here's the information for my Gold Award Project - Wet 'n Wild.
>>>It would be great if you could put notices out on the internet. Wet 'n
>>>Wild is a Girl Scout event held for girls in 6th - 8th grades. They will
>>>be learning basic conoeing skills. The event is Thursday, July 2, from
>>>8:00am - 12:30pm. It will be held at Lonetree Reservoir in southwest
>>>Loveland. I am looking for a few paddlers who would be willing to patrol
>>>the lake to keep girls in a confined area. You would also be there for
>>>extra instruction if needed. Feel free to come in kayaks. I'm sure the
>>>girls would love to see you roll them. If you are interested contact Emily
>>>Bradley at 970-667-6432 or lonetreee_at_prodigy.net
>>>							Thanks
