I average 3.2 - 3.6 knots with mine when I paddle in relaxed touring mode.
My Greenland paddle is also very good for surfing, catching waves, and
maneuvering. The only difference is that braces are stronger when I
swing the paddle under the water.

Now, there is some magic on the Greenland paddle. It takes a little time
to learn how to use it, and it does not take you anywhere with a
bad technique. Once you learn how to use it, it will reward you very well.
