i agree... at touring speeds. However some local folks who promote Greenland
paddles have led some paddlers to believe that greenland paddles are also
good for racing.

Results at local events, which are little more than fun paddles of 8 to 13
miles, have yet to produce a winner using a greenland paddle... even though
some using them appear to be well conditioned and experienced paddlers... in
fast boats!
