I have a pair of Steiners Commander II 7x50 and they work very well but use a small pair of Nikons most of the time. The range finder only works if you know the height of a object to work off of. After a while the compass does not bother you when you are looking thru them. One nice thing about the compass is if you are looking at some thing you can take a bearing and then give the binocs to some one else and tell them the degrees , then they can locate the object a lot easier Dana At 08:50 AM 9/3/98 -0500, Christine Wein wrote: >I am not playing with you all: I am very serious about >these great toys! > >Anyone used the Steiner Commander II?
