I say; I carved out a assymetrical paddle , 1 piece from a 2 X 6 red cedar [ clear] . udsed a mini grinder and carved away to very little hand sanding needed and then sanded away, blades are done, maybe 1/4 " at the thickest, shaft needs a bit more sanding. It handles VERY nice so far, smells great too.
