Paddling into the wind, it was so hard to make any progress that I considered turning back, so I'm pretty sure the wind was close to what was forecast. However, the wind had little effect on my Greenland paddle whether I was paddling into the wind or broadside to it. Certainly, I never felt that it was about to be torn out of my grip.
