Thank you for the many leads as to whereabouts of my missing ballast rocks. Unfortunately I did not register them or copy down the serial numbers. Since they were of Canadian origion, I did not believe that anything would ever go wrong with them. I'm inclined to pack my gear and head to the boundary waters to search for them after reading that beautiful trip report. My boss and my wife do not somehow share my urgency. They don't seem to worry about rocks much....... mark *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************
It isn't likely that the serial numbers would have been too much help here in the states. I assume that since the rocks were Canadian, the numbers would have been metric. We'd have been trying to multiply the number by 5/8th's and then adding 32 ... or ... Yikes. Sorry. I think that's some temperature conversion thing. See what I mean.
