subject: [Paddlewise] Magellan 4000XLS GPS Downloading Problems

Having read the posts on GPS tecently, I think I got teh wrong brand.  But
being what teh budget is, I got to use this one.  The only problem is I can't
get teh upload/download program to work with my GPS.

Does anyone have any experience with this model Magellan?  I am obviously
doing something wrong and reading the manal is next to a useless activity.

 Your best bet for help on a particular GPS model would be on the USENET group
 that deals with satelite navigation.  I can't remember the exact group, sorry.
 The name was something like sat.navigation or some such.

sci.geo.satellite-nav is the right one.....
