[Paddlewise] SealSkinz

Hello List,

While we're discussing Gore-tex, I have a question on a related product:
SealSkinz.

I recently bought a pair of SealSkinz socks and, after two uses, am pleased
at the waterproofness.  These socks are made with a proprietary three layer
system which, in my mind, is probably similar to Gore-tex.

Here is my question.  When washing these socks, what detergent should I
use?  I know for Gore-tex, powered detergent is to be used and liquid
detergent must be avoided.  The SealSkinz box only says to hand wash but
says nothing about detergent.

I have written to DuPont for this answer, but it might take a while for
their response.

Anybody know??
