Yakima listening to its customers! People have been doing that --- putting HullyRollers on the back bar but keeping the TLC Saddles on the front bar --- since Yak introduced the Rollers precisely because of your observation. HullyRollers on both front and back don't give nearly the support that the TLCs did --- and Yak deliberately discontinued TLCs when they brought out the HullyRollers initially, but the complaints about <that> dumb idea eventually made them reconsider and change their mind and bring back TLCs. Now a hybrid set from Yak! Great idea. Which brings me to a personal question: does anyone <have> a half set --- i.e., one bar's worth --- of HullyRollers, used or not, that they'd be interested in selling or possibly in trading for a half set --- one bar's worth --- of used TLC Saddles, complete with "parachute rigger-manufactured" straps? (Would really prefer just to pay for a half set of Rollers, but the trade's an option.) I want to add a set of Rollers on a third bar aft of my dual set of TLC Saddles to aid getting the boat on the roof of my wanna-be SUV, but I do have some servicable TLCs, should anyone else with HullyRollers want to try the mix'n'match setup.
