Anyone in the Washington metro area aware of any details on the WW kayaker who's missing near Great Falls? Apparently it was on the local radio, but it was too late to make the Post this morning. All I've heard --- second hand --- is that he was working the Great Falls area, one of four boaters, and disappeared. Anything on CPAKayaker? It was an incredibly beautiful day on the Potomac and in the Washington area yesterday, with temps in the lower 70s. Great day for a paddle, but, for some reason, the water thinks it's winter. It's 73 F on the St. Mary's River, just where it feeds into the Potomac --- but the water is now in the upper 40s to very low 50s throughout the area. Let's all use some winter caurtions, folks!
