Hello, I haven't seen any information (that I can recall with my ever poorer
memory) on comfortable seats that would fit in a hatch. I have never tried
one of the fabric seats that rest directly on the ground but they seem to be
too much like sitting in the kayak again. Has anybody found "THE" camping
seat to buy?

Therm-a-rest chair kit from cascade designs. Nothing else comes close.

Thermarests are great, but in my opinion very over priced. Price Club
has folding chairs that (if my memory is correct) have wooden slats.
They have a web strap on each end like the thermarests. I've seen these
type seats at REI for about $30 a piece. Price Club has them at about
$13!
