Dear Paddlewise subscribers, I've been wondering how the Paddlewise digest version works (how often it's delivered, whether or not it has identical content to this list, etc.). I'm thinking about going on a month-long trip in February and am wondering how I could access the information missed during that month without being inundated with thousands of email messages. Thanks in advance for your help. Well as a newcomer to this list I am not familiar with the digest. But, one option you might want to consider would be establishing an email account with netscape or yahoo. They have options that will enable them to automatically retrieve email from your isp. Then while you are out of town, you can go to a local library that offers public web access and get to your email on a regular basis. Not sure if either of those options allow the existing email to be deleted from the server after they are retrieved, but they might. One trigger automatically sends it every X days. The other method sends the digest whenever a size threshold is reached, such as 2000 lines of email text. kirk admin for another mailing list hosted at intelenet *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************

I always thought that the plastic verson was quite a slug but one of the first boats I ever paddled (and paddled many times since) was a glass version and it felt like a completely different boat. The guy that owned it used it as a rental and everyone that got in it seemed to love it. He sold it a few years ago. It would be interesting to see how impressions of the glass Sealution may have changed now that I've got a bit more experience. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
