My current version of the 'injured shoulder' roll consists of putting the paddle perpendicular to the boat over the hull, and doing a C-C style hip-snap holding the paddle with the healthy arm's hand. The other end of the paddle is at all times levering against the hull, and deck at the end of the roll. This roll depends a lot on the hip-snap, and the purchase of the paddle blade without sweeping it on the water. Alternatively, I grab the solid float from the aft deck, tuck to the front --kiss the foredeck-- and roll up with only the arm holding the paddlefloat. Does anyone know of a more reliable technique? cheers, - Julio *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************Received on Thu Jan 28 1999 - 15:54:29 PST
