[Paddlewise] Manuel Pumps vs. Electric Bilge Pumps

For what seems to be a recent article on the merits of electric
bilge pumps vs the use of manuel pumps you may want to check out
Laurie Ford's ( MAATSUYKER KAYAKERS) thoughts and experiences.
 
I have a Rule 1000 and plus an automatic float switch and a manuel override going in my Dyson Baidarka. I like
the idea of hands free and the speed which these pumps operate I think they are a great idea.
Having a manuel back up for me is secondary requirement.
