 Hello, I am a lurker.
I have been subscribed to this list off and on for a couple years now
and appreciate all the forwards.
I am a 22 yrs old male, I have been kayaking flatwater and ww for 2yrs
and need a new paddle.

I have ordered a Wavehopper from Perception with all intentions of
blowing away all of my paddling friends
as we race down the many local rivers and also use this for rapid lake
crossings. I would like to use this boat primarily as a trainer to
whip myself into better shape - My doctor says I am in fine athletic
shape now - but I want to be stronger, faster and have a boat that
will do more than my current Overflow (WW).

My dimensions are 5'8, 150lbs. and I comfortably use a 206cm. River
passage paddle (composite, straight shaft, with a nearly
rectangular,rounded off blade).

Would an asymmetrical (birdwing) blade be best for Wildwater? Could I
still comfortably use it in flatwater?

Any recommendations from experienced wildwater paddlers?

This Minnesota guy could use your help
Thank you,
Phil
