I called the local Boat/US store where I bought it to see if they had another in stock, then, after work, I exchanged it for a brand-new one. The total time I was in the store was five minutes -- no charge or paperwork. BTW, the best prices I have seen on GPS units in the Twin Cities have been at the Gander Mountain stores.
