I found Sunday the only day that had any (fun) Sea Kayaking challenge. If the race becomes a challenge to the support boats it will be stopped. I cannot blame the organizers they have to deal with the insurance company and the sheriffs boat patrol. My fantasy is to eddy hop though Obstruction pass as a dozen swimming racers and their surf skis get carried away by the current, with jet ski's buzzing helplesly around them. The whole group disappear into the roaring wind of Rosario strait. I then paddle in silence to the finnish line to be greeted by bikini clad Sea kayak groupies!! *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************

You sea kayak guys are tough; a race from the California coast to Finland. Awesome! But then being greeted by scantily clad Scandinavian kayak groupies probably makes it all worthwhile! Sure haven't ever seen any canoe groupies. Maybe you guys are onto something ;->. Have fun.
