Exactly what we wrestled with when we decided to do a "newbies" workshop for our area, Joe. How do you get the word out to all these "newbies"? (We have one medium sized "outdoors" shop in ------------ I certainly have no experience in this area. I would suspect, however, that you would have to work with the local paddle/outdoor shops in getting the mesaage out. If you have a brouchre or newsletter listing the type of classes and instruction you offer and/or some of the dangers of inexperience, I'm sure (I hope) the shops would be happy to hand them out to customers or have a little display on a counter somewhere.
