  The UHMW (Ultra-High Molecular Weight) polysomething that Seaward uses
as a sacrificial drag strip is screwed on, not epoxied (at least that's
how they did it on my Seaward Ascente).  This might be to ease the
replacement process, but I seriously wonder whether you could get a good
bond between the UHMW strip(s) and the epoxy. (please understand that my
entire fiberglassing experience consists only of replacing the transom
in a 1964 fiberglass runabout).
  Maybe a quick email to Seaward would answer your question.....
