Here we are, trying our best not to be wiseasses, and along comes Jack
with a provocative question like that. 

Be that as it may, the "natural" color of polyester depends on the
season in which the poly was sheared. White during the winter, green in
the summer, muted earth tones in the fall, pastels in the spring, and a
striking green/gold/purple plaid at Mardi Gras.
