I just purchased a new seakayaking book. It says that of the
approximately 60 reported cases of cougar attacks in North America,
one-half have occurred on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
Are Vancouver Island cougars really that inhospitable? Can anybody
substantiate these numbers?
