Dan - this was discussed in the group a couple of weeks ago. The drift of opinion seemed to be that the Palm jackets might or might not be as waterproof as the Kokotat ones, but because of their thinner coatings, they probably wouldn't be as durable. That might not be a big disadvantage in my case. -- Yeah sorry about bringing up again, I couldn't remember if it was this group or rec.boats.paddle who discussed Palm recently. Guess I thought it was RBP and though t that I would bring it up here. - - My other reservation is that as far as I know, they have a spandex or neoprene neck closure, which would be more comfortable but less waterproof than a latex closure. However - I'm seriously considering purchase of a Palm drytop. So I'll be very interested in the responses you get. If you get any replies which are not posted to the group, it would be a great help if you would forward them on to me. Thanks in advance for your help - Bill Hansen No comments received that wren't posted here. I think that I will give one a try, may be a case of me spending a 100 bucks and finding out later that I should of sprung for the real thing. - Dan *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************Received on Fri Mar 26 1999 - 16:00:55 PST
