Fortunately the west coast is not like the east coast.   The courses put on by Ecomarine fill up fast and have very good instructors.    AND I don't even work there but would recommend them highly.

EcoMarine Kayak in Vancouver is offering the above course in June.  This is
a two day course for those who want more experience in navigating and
paddling in coastal currents.  Has anyone on this list taken this course
before?  I would like to get some feedback on this course before I register.

If the west coast is like the east coast, you better grab the course while
you can.

Last year I waited all winter for a new class schedule from my favorite
outfitter to find a shorter tidal class had been eliminated from the
schedule because of lack of interest.
