their inputs on a web site. We ought to be working within the spirit
of the law, not just the letter, especially when we're trying to work
together as some sort of electronically enhanced "group" on this
list. While it may not be necessary to ask permission to republish,
it's certainly a very appropriate thing for "friends" to to do with
"friends", and I appreciated Clyde's request to reprint the article I

---------

In the year+ I've been on the list, what has impressed me most about the
people here, even more than their helpfulness, is the civility with which
even disagreements are handled. There have been only one or two minor
squabbles since I've been here and they quickly subsided.

In that spirit, I don't really think there would be any copyright issues.
With this in mind, what makes sense to me, if I, or anyone else, collects a
part or all of a thread they want posted, do so and simply post an
additional message to the group indicating they have done so.

If anyone has any problem at all with any thread posted in the Paddlewise
section of my site, their part will removed with no questions asked.
Copyrights need not be invoked and no reason need be given. If removal of
that part of the thread destroys the integrity or meaning of the thread,
then the whole thread will be removed.

I will post this thread, including this message, so we can refer back to it
in the future to validate the spirit in which it was held.

Thanx for your support.

Clyde

In case there is any question, you have permanent blanket permission to copy
and use on your web page any discussion or post of mine on "Paddlewise".

Me? I feel I am in a fish bowl. Anything I say can and will be used
against me anyway; so free permission always. :-)

The only objection I have is to being photographed in a hardshell
kayak. That is blackmail!!! I usually wear a Groucho Marx mask when in
one to foil such papparazi.

Oh Ralph, don't you know that in this day of digital photography it's
going to take a lot more than a Groucho Marx mask to keep your mug out
of a hardshell kayak photo? Now would you like that photo *with* Monica
or without? :-)

This is weird, why, just yesterday the ladies at work were giggling around
the coffee table. Upon inquiry, I found out they were viewing a centerfold
from Playgirl magazine. The theme was "The Great Outdoors", and the model
was none other than Ralph Diaz. From what I could see, his only shortcoming
was in fact, the bulky Klepper in the background. As the ladies quickly
folded the centerfold picture back up into the magazine, I knew Ralph truly
is a *folding kayaker* :-)
