It gets cold. It gets stormy at the end of September. It gets rainy (two
years ago I spent a week paddling in September. Every morning and every
evening it rained) 

But some of the most beautiful archipelago I know is in Sweden. The most
beautiful is Stockholm archipelago (400 kms from Lund?) by the BAltic
Sea. Also, near Göteborg/Gothenburg there is a sea archipelago, where
the Swedes have a sea kayaking symposium. This area is more exposed, it
opens to The North Sea. 

But I guess there must be some lake areas near Lund. Lakes in the autumn
I like!
