The only deck compass I would ever want on my deck is one that is permanently attached there. I always like to ----------- On the other hand, I would never permanently attach anything to my deck. The thought of drilling holes or gluing stuff to my deck sends traumatic tremors through my aging body. Years ago a friend installed a couple of sunroofs in my van/camper and I still wake up screaming and bathed in sweat from that ordeal.
