Adding D-rings is best done not to the deck of a folder but as Ralph stresses, on the hypalon hull. I've had best success by contacting Mark Eckart at the Klepper Service Center. Mark supplies a kit of his own nicely made and properly sized D-ring hypalon patches, the appropriate adhesive ( a crucial consideration) and even sandpaper. His patches are available in gray or black and when correctly applied will hold tremendous loads. It is best to attach only the lightest of loads directly to fasteners sewn on decks.
