I'm in Puerto Rico at the moment so this response may be a little late.
Can't connect to the ISP today.

If I were looking for a tandem bike and I told you I kayaked in doubles and
I said I was looking at a tandem made in China, a Schwinn and a Costco Brand
what would you say? Would you say I probably wouldn't be too happy with the
heavy frames and lousy cranks? Would you recommend looking at a better
quality bike with a carbon or aluminum frame?

Isn't a Huffy tandem more durable than an expensive italian bike??

1. Don't forget to check out a folding double.
2. Paddle a glass or kevlar double or two
3. carry a plastic double around the block a few times.
4. Check the weight restrictions for your roof and racks.
5. Check out a poly boat after it's been in the FL sun a few hours
