I'll be getting together with some friends for a four day trip through the San Juan's. We'll launch from Anacortes on the mainland and paddle about 12 miles to Doe Bay near Pt, Lawrence on Orcas Island on Friday afternoon (leave work in Seattle at 1pm). On Saturday we'll paddle around Orcas on the south side over to Jones Island (about 15 miles). Sunday will be a paddle around the North end over to Patos and on to Cypress (depending on weather) with a return to Anacortes on Monday. I hope the weathers not too rough as my paddling muscles are a bit weak for the mileage this year. It should be a good trip (we were originally planning to go to the Gulf Islands up in British Columbia but had a potential paddler with visa problems, so that meant stay in the US) and heck, I might even remember how to paddle efficiently again by the time I finish.
