Re: [Paddlewise] email apps (float bag recommendations?)

1) I suggest you add an entry in your application's addressbook to make it
easier to compose _new_ messages. For current topics, please use the Reply
functions, as this will put information in the mail header that helps
other people's software show discussion threads properly.

2) Generally "Reply to All" means to reply to the sender and all
recipients _of the current message_. Generally you can trim the recipient
list before actually sending the reply. E.G., I usually choose Reply To
All and then remove either the author or the mailing list address,
depending on whether my post is intended to be public. Reply to Newsgroup
won't be a choice simply because paddlewise is distributed via email
rather that USENET-style news servers.

3) Regarding replying to David, only he can say for sure, but it looks
like he added a Reply-To header to his message to encourage replies to be
sent to the list. Some mailing lists do this automatically. Paddlewise
doesn't. Last time a list I was on "discussed" this issue, it was longer
than the "Swede form" thread; in other words, don't go there ;-)

I hope this makes sense. I can't give more specific details since I don't
use IE/Outlook Express (or MS Windows for that matter). And I'm not sure
the list would want more details anyway. ;-)
