I guess I can take it along on day trips whether I use it or not and hang it out to air & dry at night. I don't think I can do that on a multi-day trip though unless I plan on wearing it. It would just take up too much room. In that case, I think I'd just lay it out flat on the truck bed and put other clothes and stuff on top to protect it from some of the direct heat.
