I had the same problem. I started doing exercises concentrating on my lower back and found they did the trick. Don't know what the exercise is called but what I did was lay on my stomache with my hands behind neck and raise my head, shoulders and chest off the floor. I did many? reps of these every day. After a couple of weeks I had no more problems. I also found getting out of the kayak and streching after the first hour helped.
