Sand it with 36 or 60 grit or maybe get a gunstock checkering tool and have
at the plastic. Maybe you could smear some "Hydrogrip" around and throw in
some clean sand. Yes it will be ugly. I wouldn't expect to find any products
that will stick to polyethelene and I suspect "Hydrogrip" is marginal but
probably better than anything else. Note I have never tried any of these so
value it as much as you paid for it.
