Hello gang, new guy here. Just hooked up and looking forward to
bouncing around the mail list since I won't be bouncing around the
water a whole lot once the enw little one gets here next
Novemeber(yeah!).

I know one person out there. Hey Al.

I've got a WS Ride sit on top that I bought to fish one. I love it.
Much to my wife's consternation
("you can't leave anything alone") I started piddling around in the
garage and put a sail on it and made a caddie for it. I'm currently
trying to market the caddie, and am having to modify the sail. Some
interesting things I've learned include:

You cannot get large plastic tires in the US. You seemed to have to go
to TAIWAN. Not that I have anything against Taiwan, I'm just not ready
to buy in that much buck! Anyone know where to get large plastic tires
in the States?

Make sure your mast height is enough or you'll bang your paddle into
the boom a lot!

For a small rig you can use a single line for all the stays on your
mast. I epoxied a sail slide to the front of the mast for the forward
stay, but ina stroke of luck realized I could run a 1/8" line from the
port to the mast, to the foredeck cleat, back to the starboard cleat.
Because the small area sail does not have as much stress, I don't have
to lock the stays in like I would on a dinghy or catamaran. Th great
thing about this is that it allows me to raise and lower the mast very
easily.

Use a universal joint as the mast base. Man, does it make it easy.

Have cleavis (sp?) pin will travel.

Adios.
