By the way, I have a Pamlico that I consider my "canoe" and have used on the Peace River when the rest were in Grummans. PS: This was a used rental so I got it cheap, but then found out that paddling the Pamlico as a double was awful without a rudder - so that was an added expense. Our friend who keeps selling and upgrading boats is on a different track from those of us who keep adding to our fleet (I have sold 3 - one I regretted); but it did make me think of something. It's worth buying well-known makes and models of boats that have a re-sale demand. For example, one of our outfitters has a waiting list for his used Prisms. Once you've bought a second-hand boat, you can pretty much get your money back when you sell it.
