    There was no concern on my part that Maligiaq nor his father were after anything
of any negative sort from us. It feels great to be able to be of help to someone like
him. My question was only to be sure this really was Maligiaq, not someone using his
name.
    I am embarassed that it was taken as such. If you took it that way others might
have as well, and it could feel like that to him if he hears about it. I sincerely
hope that if he is told of this that he understands it was a question to be sure he
was the one to whom we'd offer financial assistance, open our homes or ask friends to
do so, or took time and made an effort to provide for anything he might need. It is
our pleasure to offer him what we can. I fear that there are those out there who would
use our delight against us. It is unfortunate that some will take not only our money
but destroy the heart of community with their dishonesty. I only counseled caution to
be sure this was the real Maligiaq, not an impostor.
    I am sorry that I was not clear enough to have avoided this.
