Hi folks, I've been lurking on the side for a very long time ... I could use some information for my upcoming vacation to Alaska. It will include at least a day excursion kayaking in Skagway (first choice). What I need to decide is ... which pieces of clothing/equipment would be a good idea to take from home. My thinking is dry bag, hat, sunglasses, paddle suit top, gloves, water shoes... I don't have allot of space to carry things or I'd take my paddle. Just for back ground ... I've been kayaking for five years or so. All of the paddling has been done locally in New England waters. I'm BCU rated Proficiency level (star 5?).
