Dave is a lot faster than me. My first time took about an hour with the new K1. But then it took nearly the same amount of time with the Klepper Aerius II first time. Best I have managed with the Klepper is about 35 minutes, Now that I have added the Quattro sponsons (they have to be inserted separately each time you assemble, unlike the regular sponsons), it takes about 45 minutes again. But it's worth it. The boat rides higher and is noticeably faster, especially with one person paddling. As for the K1, it's quite a boat. Worth however long it takes to assemble. I think I can get it down to 35-40 minutes. Sometimes it takes a few minutes more, but I really think that that will change, because right now the only real problem that I have is that the skin has not stretched-out yet to the shape of the frame so somethimes it takes a couple of minutes to get the frame in properly. Other than that, assembly is really a snap. When I picked up my boat from the shop, they had the boat assembled for me, and I walked me through taking it apart. Then they allowed me to put it together by myself. I managed to do it in 37 minutes the very first time, so I assume that things can only get better!
